Adopt a posture of care?

Escola de Empatia is a company dedicated to developing attitudes of care and sustainability, co-creating a fairer and more compassionate world.

Although information about empathy is increasingly accessible, only a small proportion of people are consistently in contact with favorable learning environments to develop emotionally. We must understand that each person has an essential place in life in society and help them to develop behaviors of empathy, ethics and care. We need to collaborate positively so that people, communities and companies can transform the world into a more human space.

POR QUE A EMPATIA?

We are facing a change. From the old paradigm of conquest (of land, goods and even people) that for millennia entered our days and reproduced an individualistic and consumerist way of life, we will transform values, cultivate attitudes, to enable better perspectives. The paradigm of care is the way out we will find to live.

We need everyone to ensure positive change. From our children and teenagers, to adults and the elderly, everyone can collaborate for a culture of empathy and care for themselves, with others and with the world.

Why

the empathy?

Where did you learn to relate?

We spend a large part of our lives learning technical skills. However, what really enables us to make a difference in the places we share is our behaviors.

Empathy is more than a possibility, but a commitment to the future.

We adopt the Non-Violent Communication (CNV) approach created by the American psychologist Marshall Rosenberg, because we believe that the human connection is the key to a better world.

CNV "...is based on the principles of non-violence – the natural state of compassion when non-violence is present in the heart. CNV begins by assuming that we are all compassionate by nature and that violent strategies - whether verbal or physical - are learned , taught and supported by the dominant culture.

CNV also assumes that we all share the same, basic human needs, and that each of our actions is a strategy for meeting one or more of those needs."
